The Estoril course was looking beautiful the day we visited. Fairways in good condition for March and greens not too bad. Tees were in poor condition however, and will need a lot of work. One hole was out of play for reconstruction. Staff are friendly and helpful, bar excellent, overall a great day out, just one star off for the tees.

The best course in the area, by a margin. Yes it’s expensive but fairways, tees and greens are immaculate. Would go back in a flash, once I’ve saved up some more pennies.

The course is not too bad, in reasonable condition although the tees are a bit untidy. The major problem though is the speed of play. 5 hours and 10 mins is not OK. Too many complete beginners on the course. Ten minute waits on nearly every tee. It’s a challenging course, so minimum handicap of 18 would be a reasonable guideline. Or just get out early before the rabble.
