Of all the Vilamoura courses we played this was our favourite. The course was a stiff challenge but fair. The layout and variety of the holes was classic . The fairways were not too fast, as we found elsewhere, good tee shots and approaches were usually rewarded. good tee shots and

Super course but we found the fairways too fast for us. The catchment areas for the bunkers and lakes were enormous. In fact there was so much run on the ball that often the only thing stopping the ball would be when it rolled into a hazard. Having said that it was a privilege to play at the venue of the 2018 Portugal Open and we will marvel to see the elite professionals tackle its challenges.

Very good course but one which we found more of a challenge for our handicap level. We greatly enjoyed the experience and intend to revisit the course but will keep our score to ourselves

Of all the courses we played this was the nearest in character to our home course. This was reflected in our scoring. There were not too many lakes and although plenty of bunkers they were not too greedy. It also helps that most of the fairways are not too tight! We thoroughly enjoyed playing here and found the clubhouse and catering excellent.
