Montebelo Golfe Overview

Montebelo Golf Course is a 27 hole course located close to Viseu in the north centre of Portugal. It is situated between the Serra da Estrela and Serra do Caramulo mountain ranges. There three circuits of none holes, the Carmulo Course, the Estrela Course and the Bucaco Course. The courses are attractive in many ways and especially for their apparent atmosphere of calmness The fairways mainly run through pine forests but sufficient broad to allow the erring ball. Two outstanding feature of the Montebelo Golf Course is the number of doglegs that have to be negotiated and the sparseness of water hazards.

Holiday golf in August.
Greens had been cored and sanded but out of season for locals so totally understandable. Got a free buggy for the inconvenience. Very kind. Didn’t make them unplayable though. Terrific course… lush fairway so played its length. Some classic holes looking from the tees. Would play again if in the area and later in the year. Was very hot.
