Penha Longa Atlantico Overview

Penha Longa Atlantico is a championship 18 hole course located between Cascais and Sintra to the west of Lisbon. Set in a charming private park of an important fourteenth century Monastery that has been converted into a luxury Hotel and Residential Resort. The topographical layout of the fairways is through gently wooded hills that present a restful atmosphere and natural beauty for the round.

There are interesting water hazards with some elevated greens, but added to these factors is the challenge of strong winds that some times may occur. The Penha Longa Atlantico Course has to be played with respect for its architect who has presented a golf course that requires skill from most experienced golfers. This golf course has hosted the Portuguese Open and several important international events.

Nice but greens not so good

Nice design, beautiful holes, but greens in bad shape, noisy due to the nearby racetrack, and green fee higher than other courses.

Worth to play, will go again for sure.

The course was in great condition. The very hard wind made it even more interesting to play. Some of the holes where perhaps too difficult.
